The 2007 Drama

I'm tired of watching films that go too far. Edit out the over dramatic--the unnecessary sex scene that ends up just adding to the "it's art" cliche; the I'm-so-angry-I'm-gonna-start-throwing-shit-all-over-the-room (even if the scene calls for such an explosion, it's trite...sorry...write a new scene); the acting that depends on too much motion and too much talking. Return to the simple: return to the story.

Of course a comedy and/or a romance have their places, but the drama is what places film above all other art:

As I said before, this song is one of the best ever written for a film. It's too bad Vetter will win the Oscar--any other year he would be deserving.
